Continuous single-mode fiber lasers «BISMUTH-10»

“BISMUTH” operating in the wavelength range 1.25 -1.55 µm.Continuous single-mode fiber lasers «BISMUTH-10»

Bi-lasers of FORC-Photonics – are series of fiber laser systems build on a new class of active media – Bismuth-doped silica-based active fibers. FORC RAS is a pioneer and a worldwide leader in the development and investigation of Bismuth-doped silica fibers. Such fibers with different core composition can produce a lasing light in the range 1100-1550 nm using SM laser diodes or Raman fiber lasers as a pump source. The output power of such lasers can be in the range of 10 mW – 10 W or even higher. Depending on customer requirements the laser can be delivered in different configurations:

  • Random or linear polarization of output light;
  • Free space or SM fiber output;
  • Operating in CW or pulse (Q-switch, mode-lock) regimes;
  • Preselected wavelength in the range 1100-1220 nm, or 1250-1550 nm;
  • Optically doubled to 550-750nm;

Bi-lasers can be used in a variety of different applications including: medicine, metrology, telecommunications, microscopy, scientific applications etc.
